Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa (3656 m) Tibet, Gonggar Airport

Up on arrival at Gonggar Airport meet our Tibet tour official representative, complete the custom and immigration formalities and drive to Lhasa city (3656m). It takes around 45 minutes to reach the main city center. Checking in your hotel, be refresh, rest for acclimatization to get fit with Lhasa’s high altitude.

Day 02: Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa

Early morning after breakfast brief on the day’s program by your guide and proceed tour to Norbulingka, Sera Monastery, Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor Square. Drive to visit the Norbulingka palace which is summer retreat of the Dalai Lama. The palace building construction completed in 1956 and it is elaborately decorated with Tibetan wood carvings and paintings. After visiting this historic monument head to the famous Sera Monastery allows you to get an insight into the important aspects of Tibetan Buddhism. You can observe the monks are taking the part of religious chanting and discourse there. Then visit Jokhang Temple and explore rich Tibetan cultural heritage of this site as well visit city center of Barkhor market and after visiting of the day back to hotel.

Day 03: Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa

After breakfast meet your guide transfer to visit Potala Palace. This is the main attraction of Tibet forever and it is an impressive structure of Tibetan architecture. The Potala Palace has various types of Tibetan arts and crafts collection which are some many centuries of old. After visiting this outstanding Dalai Lama’s palace transfer to visit popular Drepung Monastery which located at the foot of Mount Gephel, is one of the "great three" Gelug university gompas (monasteries) of Tibet. Drepung Monastery used to be the largest monastery and most powerful monastey in Tibet.

Day 04: Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse (3950m) - 261 km

Pick up from the hotel and join for overland day, the journey continue through the main highway via Karola (5,010m), Khamba La Pass (4795m). Enjoy splendid views of Yamdrok-Tso Lake and Nazing Kang Sa (7252m) peak. After this pass the road turns the westwards and come across another Karo La Pass (5010m), and after driving long day finally you will arrive at Gyantse town. Up on arrival transfer to hotel be refresh, rest and enjoy exploring wonderful landscaped Tibetan villages and cultural activities.

Day 05: Gyantse sightseeing and drive to Shigatse (3950m) 90km

After breakfast, you will be at Gyangtse Kumbum Stupa and Palcho Monastery on the way and explore 14th century old historical fort at Gyantse and golden stupa of Kumbum. These two places have also huge collection of traditional arts and crafts of Tibetan culture. After visiting again continues the journey and finally you will be in Shigatse city, it is second largest one in Tibet. Visit the oldest Tashilhunpo Monastery of Tibet and other Tibetan monuments there.

Day 06: Drive from Shigatse to Tingri (4300m)/Lhatse (4,350m): 244 Km/244 Km

After visiting this nomadic city your overland journey continue again passing through the picturesque landscape to small town of Lhatse via Gyamtso La Pass 5220m. From Tingri you will enjoy the stunning Mt. Everest view (8,848 M) along with other many Himalayan peaks view.

Day 02: Drive from Tingri (4300m)/Lhatse (4,350m) to Kerung (2700m.): 225 Km/244 Km

After breakfast drive to Tibet Nepal border town Kerung (Gyirong). The drive goes through the highest plateau of the world which offers the typical view of Tibetan landscape and provides sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world.You will enjoy the breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 M), Mt Shiishapangma (8012M), Everest (8,848m.) and many more.

Day 08: Drive from Kerung (Gyirong) to Kathmandu: 123 KM

Early morning drive to the Tibet Nepal border Rasuwagadi and clear the immigration stuff in Tibet side. Take Nepal visa in Nepali immigration section and continue drive to Kathmandu through scenic Nepali countryside mountains and hamlets. Once you reach to the Kathmandu, the trip will be concluded.
