The 7 to 8 hours journey covers approximately 155km, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains at the southern foot of the Himalayas, surrounded by vast forests. The route passes through Langtang National Park, where you may encounter wild animals despite the bumpy road. Upon completing immigration formalities at the Nepal - Tibet border, you will meet our Tibetan guide and driver. Following a brief orientation, we proceed with the drive to reach the guest house for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Rest Day in Kyirung/ Acclimatization
Take a break for acclimatization in Kerong before continuing the drive. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the surroundings. Overnight stay at the guest house.

Day 03: Drive Kyirung to Saga/4450m- 232 km
After breakfast, depart from the lush landscapes of Gyirong, surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped mountains, to officially enter the Mount Everest region at an altitude exceeding 4500 meters. The 380-kilometer journey unfolds a changing panorama as the altitude ascends. Beginning at 2800 meters, you'll be captivated by the scenery featuring forests, waterfalls, and deep canyons. Crossing the Kong Tang Lamu Pass at 5236 meters marks the entry into the plateau. En route, catch sight of Mt. Shishabangma (8027m) and the serene Pelku Tso Lake at its base, leaving a lasting impression of tranquility and beauty. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Saga at Guest House.

Day 04: Saga to Paryang (4558m) to Mansarovar (4600m) 507 km 8-9 hrs
As we drive through the roads, watching the distant mountains, we traverse the small town of Zhongba on our way to Paryang. The first view of Mount Kailash and the holy lake unfolds after several hours of travel. Approaching this serene and sacred lake, the historic Chiu Monastery comes into view on the northwest shore. From this vantage point, you can catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount Kailash. Manasarovar, the highest freshwater lake with its turquoise complexion, is surrounded by Mount Kailash, Mount Gurula-Mandata, and Lake Rakchyas, creating a heavenly scene. The night is spent at the guesthouse.

Day 05: Drive to Darchen (14975ft) 40km
Following a tranquil time at the shores of the sacred Lake Manasarovar, accompanied by the snowy massif of Gurla Mandhata (7694m) just across the lake, we proceed with a 40-kilometer drive to Darchen, the base for the Mt. Kailash kora (circumambulation). The kora spans 53 kilometers in total and is accomplished over three days. Overnight accommodation is provided in a guesthouse.

Day 06: Trek to Dira-Puk/5000m ( Kailash Kora Start)
After breakfast, take an eco-bus from Darchen to Sarshung Valley for the start of a 13-kilometer trek around Mount Kailash. The initial stretch is relatively easy, guiding you through the valley at the foot of Mount Kailash, offering clear views of its southern and western slopes. Upon reaching the foot of the western slope, check in at the guesthouse in Dirapuk Monastery. Spend the day exploring the ancient Dirapuk Monastery, also known as Zhire Temple, capturing memorable moments in front of sacred stupas and the grandeur of Mount Kailash's western slope. Weather permitting, witness the breathtaking sunset over Mount Kailash from Dirapuk Monastery, with the sun's afterglow delicately illuminating the steep cliffs as night descends. The night is spent at the guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek Dira Puk-Zuthul Puk, 18km, 6-7 hrs, 550m ascent, 600m descent.
Commence your day early with a 4-kilometer trek from Dirapuk Monastery, ascending to an elevation of 5430 meters. This leg provides a rapid climb, offering a breathtaking sunrise view over the northwest slope of Mount Kailash. Subsequently, embark on another 2-kilometer trek to Dolma La Pass, the highest point at 5630 meters, adorned with prayer flags.

(Note: Due to the high altitude, the path, even in summer, may be icy and scattered with rocks, necessitating caution to prevent slipping.) Upon safely crossing Dolma La Pass, encounter the emerald-green Lake of Compassion (also known as Guri Kund), believed to purify sins with a dip, and witness the thick glaciers on the northwest slope of Mount Kailash.

Following the lake, a gradual descent leads to the valley beneath the southeast foot of Mount Kailash, housing Zutulpuk Monastery (also known as Dzutripuk Monastery). Here, encounter adorable wild animals and find a peaceful resting spot on the grasslands. Overnight stay is arranged at Zutulpuk Monastery Guesthouse.

Day 08: End of Kailash Parikrama ( Kailash Kora finish) and drive to Saga
In the morning, trek back from Zutulpuk Monastery to Darchen, the starting point of the Kailash Trek. Following the completion of the trek, take a 30-kilometer drive to Lake Manasarovar, where you can approach the sacred lake's shores and engage in spiritual activities such as meditation or cleansing rituals with its holy waters, significant for Hindus and Buddhists. Optional hot springs are available for foot baths or soaking to rejuvenate weary pilgrims. Conclude the day with a drive to Saga and an overnight stay at the Saga Guest House.

Day 09: Drive back to Kyirung O/N at Guest House
Embark on your morning journey to Kyirung, a hidden gem situated on the Tibet-Nepal border. Experience a noticeable shift in scenery as the altitude decreases, transitioning from snow-capped mountains and vast wastelands to lush forests and captivating canyon landscapes along the roadside.

Day 10: Kyirung /Rasuwagadi to Kathmandu 155 km
Following breakfast, bid farewell to your Tibetan guide and driver. Our Nepali staff will be there to greet you at the Nepal border. Then transfer to Kathmandu and trip concludes!
