Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu Peak (6584) is located near Manang and attached to far northern upper part of Annapurna range and it is one of the most popular peaks of around. Due to connection between main trekking route of Annapurna circuit and easy access made this peak very popular among normal climbing groups. Above Yak Kharka Chulu peak base camp can be reached easily by trekking and perform further climbing activities. Chulu Peak range belongs to three separate entire peaks which are west, central and east. Among of them Chulu East trekking peak is ever best known climbing one. Many climbers consider expedition this peak is great refreshing summit attempt for further expedition to sharpen skills.

Those who are seeking for test of mountaineering may undoubtedly once join to climb this beautiful peak. Himalayan Mentor’s proposed itinerary is based in facts that it will make you perfect acclimatization to be fit to your successive climb. It is also combined with normal trekking itinerary which also cost you less. After the climbing you have to trek further crossing on Thorung La Pass and fly back from the Jomsom.

Chulu east peak climbing itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport Nepal. Up on arrival meet our office representative at airport and transfer to hotel/ after refreshing complete the official formalities/ briefing about the preparation and rest of the day free for your own leisure/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing around Kathmandu city- Historical  Durbar Square area, Pasupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Swyambhunath Stupa which will take you to visit Nepal’s most popular attractions and lunch break will be during the tour at best restaurants available/overnight at hotel in BB Basis.

Day 02: Drive to Syange/Ghyarmuphat (1130m) approx. 9-10 hrs drive/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 03: Trek Syange/Ghyarmuphat (1130m) to Tal(1700m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 04: Trek Tal (1700m) to Danaque (2200m, 4-5 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 05: Trek Danaque (2200m) to Chame (2700m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 06: Trek Chame (2700m) to Pisang (3250m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 07: Trek Pisang (3250m) to Manang (3540m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 08: Acclimatization day in Manang (3540m)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 09: Trek Manang (3540m) to Yak Kharka (4050m, 4-5 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 10: Trek Yak Kharka to Chulu Peak Base Camp/ meet all the climbing staff members/ have a lunch and check it all the climbing gear and climbing instruction and overnight at tented camp. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served by Himalayan Mentor’s own kitchen team)

Day 11, 12 & 13: Trek to high camp/attempt summit to the Chulu Peak (6584m) and after summit back to base camp/have a lunch and overnight at teahouse lodge (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served by Himalayan Mentor’s own kitchen team)

Day 14: Trek Chulu Base Camp to Thorung Phedi (4450m, 5-6 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 15: Trek Thorung Phedi (4450m) to Muktinath (3800m, 8-10 hrs) crossing over the Thorung-La (5416m)/overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge.(All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 16: Drive from Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m, 1:30-2 hrs) /overnight at teahouse eco-village lodge. (All meals Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be served at teahouse lodge restaurant)

Day 17: Fly back Jomsom to Pokhara and transfer to hotel/rest or free day in Pokhara for personal activities. (Hotel in Pokhara BB Basis)

Day 18: Rest day in Pokhara or free for personal activities- sightseeing, shopping and visiting Lake side market etc.

Day 19: Next day drive from Pokhara to Katmandu approximately (7-8 hrs.) by bus or fly to Kathmandu, 30 min by STOL flight as you wish to have in your package, transfer to hotel, late noon shopping souvenirs around market and typical Nepali dinner party with culture show.

Day 20: Transfer to airport for International departure or if you wish to have onward programs- wildlife safari tour, whitewater rafting/ kayaking, paragliding, sightseeing or visiting main tourist attraction of around please let us know we are happy to organize as you wish.
