Only the river of Nepal that has several ammonite fossils containing with rocks which are remains as present proof that Himalayan was under the sea before 70 million years ago. But the Kali Gandaki River was there before Himalayan born and falling into Tethis Sea. After the sea disappeared, the Kali Gandaki continues flow towards southern direction and blocked by two giant peaks Annapurna & Dhaulagiri but the flow of the water never stopped which formed the present Kali Gandaki one. 3 days Kali Gandaki rafting

Day 01: Early morning drive to put in point about 3-3:30 hrs

  • Rafting gear unload (giving your helping hands)
  • Changing clothes and put other stuffs in dry pack
  • Loading gear on raft and other stuffs on cargo raft
  • Have a lunch at put in point
  • Safety talk learn how to sit on raft, hold & row paddle and rafting orientation
  • Commence the rafting and by 3-4 PM end the trip
  • Camp site setting (giving your helping hands)
  • Changing clothes drink tea, coffee & chocolate
  • Dinner preparation, after dinner talking fantasy of the day or sleep

Day 02: Wake up be refresh and drink tea, coffee & chocolate

  • Packing gear first and breakfast
  • Changing clothes and put other stuffs in dry pack
  • Remove camp setting & site clean up
  • Loading gear on raft and other stuffs on cargo raft
  • Safety talk and rafting orientation
  • Commence the rafting, lunch on the way and by 3-4 PM end the trip
  • Camp site setting (giving your helping hands)
  • Changing clothes drink tea, coffee & chocolate
  • Dinner preparation, after dinner talking fantasy of the day or sleep

Nepal Rafting Information

Rafting Preparation 

One day before at 5:00 PM gathered at Himalayan Mentor office for pre-departure meeting as it is also major concern to introduce with our team-Trip Leader, Guides, trip staffs and other guests, complete official formalities, discuss about the trip, timetable and other important logistics to make your adventure trip successful.

Rafting Equipments and Services 

Best quality self-bailing raft, whitewater safety helmet, modern plastic paddle, neoprene-wetsuit, PFD-lifejacket, dry top splash Jacket, waterproof Container or Barrel for camera and valuable items, dry bag for other stuffs, first-aid kit box, tent or mass fly sheet, sleeping mat and other necessary camping gear cooking utensils, hygienically prepared foods and drinks.

Things you need to bring

River wear: shorts or half pant, T-shirts (long sleeve for sun protection), swim wear, sun cap, sun glass, suntan cream, personal water bottle, a pair of river sandal etc

Camp site wear: personal sleeping bag, lightweight shirts, T-shirts, trouser/pant, under garments, socks, a towel, light shoe, fleece type jacket, flash light, personal toiletries, camera, reading and writing materials, medication recommended by your private doctor etc. Other stuffs you can store at your hotel or at our office store room which are not necessary to bring for the rafting.

Our team members have updated training courses - AR/CPR, Wildness First-Aid and Whitewater Rescue Technician conducted by Rescue 3 International. And in every rafting trip we also provide expert rescue kayaker for extra safety to make your trip with us more comfort and enjoyable.
